3 Happy Things!

Howdy, Strangers!

Ok, maybe is hasn't been that long...  So sorry I haven't posted in over a week!  I've been pretty busy lately, which I'm sure you all can understand. 

Since I really couldn't think of something to post about, I've decided to do another "3 Happy Things" post!  Yay! ;)

Here we go...

#1: Pistachios:  I recently tried a pistachio for the first time, and I really, really, really, really love them.  I think I could live off of those things! 

#2: Shawls:  I've been making some shawls lately, which is always very, very fun!  So far I've made 2, one black and one sort of a multi-colored with blue--and I've started on a pink one as well.  I started with the Aleatha Shawl, but I heavily modified the pattern.  Below is a pic of the black shawl--isn't it pretty?

#3: Rainy Days: Sometimes rainy days are nice--if anything, they are a greatly appreciated break from the summer heat!

YARN: Don't you just LOVE yarn?  I am having so much fun playing around with some Vanna's Choice this week!

Shrink Art: I've been trying out shrink art and I REALLY like it! 

Weaving: I saw a tutorial at Natural Suburbia for branch weaving--here-- SO FUN!

3 Happy Things

Hi Everyone!

Let me say, today has just been one of those days!  You know, where things just aren't working out, and the weather seems to match the mood?  You know what I'm talking about. 

So, in order to keep an optimistic outlook on things, I thought I would post a list of 3 crafty things that are making me smile this week. 

1. Ravelry:  I really, really love Ravelry!  It is such a nice way to pass time and find awesome patterns!


2.  Handmade Earrings:  If there is one thing I love, it is making earrings.  But, if there is one thing I love even more than making them, it is wearing them!  You not only get the pretty earrings, but you also get to say "I made these!" to whoever compliments you on them.  I made a pair the other day (pictures soon to come!) and have been enjoying wearing them all day!


3.  Fingerless Gloves:  I crocheted some fingerless gloves last week and I am really loving wearing them!  Fingerless gloves don't entirely make sense--and aren't incredibly useful--but they are so pretty and fun to wear!
