Quilt Style Purse

Hi everyone!

Today I have some pictures of a purse I sewed a few days ago.  I cut an old shirt into the shape I wanted, sewed felt on the back of each piece and sewed a quilted design onto the felt.  Then I sewed the pieces together, added 2 pockets, a button, a hande, and a small strip of fabric to button the purse closed.

Let me know how you think it turned out!

Crocheted Bible Case

Hi Everyone!

Here are some pictures of one of the Bible cases I have crocheted.  I used Vanna's Choice yarn and a size G hook for this project.

This was a very simple crochet project.  All you have to do is make a chain long enough to fit along the cover of your Bible, HDC in each row until you have a good fit, sew the sides together and add handles, a button, and a strap to go over the button.
Have a wonderful day!
God Bless!

Crochet Barbie Clothing

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm posting photos of some Barbie doll clothing that I crocheted a while back.
The first is a pink dress with white trim and the second is a white shirt with green trim.  Both of these items were crocheted using Red Heart crochet thread.

I really enjoyed making these--I especially like the shirt.  Let me know what you think!

Basic Amigurumi Pattern

Hi Everyone!

Below is a pattern I wrote up for a basic amigurumi body.  This is only my second pattern, so please excuse any mistakes! Just let me know if you find any problems with it and I will be more than glad to fix them!

Here is the pattern:

Ch 2
10 Dc in 2nd chain from hook; end round with a slip stitch
Ch 3, Dc twice in each stitch around, end round with a slip stitch
*Sc around, end round with a slip stitch, Ch 1*
Repeat from * to * for 4 more rounds
*Sc for 5 stitches, decrease* around and end round with a slip stitch
*Sc for 4 stitches, decrease* around and end round with a slip stitch
*Sc for 3 stitches, decrease* around and end round with a slip stitch
*Sc for 2 stitches, decrease* around and end round with a slip stitch
Sc twice in each stitch around and end the round with a slip stitch
Sc around for 3 rounds
*Sc for 5 stitches, decrease* around and end round with a slip stitch
*Sc for 4 stitches, decrease* around and end round with a slip stitch
*Sc for 3 stitches, decrease* around and end round with a slip stitch
*Sc for 2 stitches, decrease* around and end round with a slip stitch

Now use a yarn needle and some yarn to sew the top closed.

If you try out the pattern, please let me know! I would love to hear any ideas anyone might have for modifications.

Have a wonderful day!

Crochet Duckling

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm sharing a picture of a crocheted duck that I worked up this evening.
I made a very simple body and just added the details.  I am going to try and share a pattern sometime this weekend for the body.  I really like how the shape of the body turned out because you can change it into any animal that you'd like.  I'm thinking about making some bunnies using this pattern when I get the chance.

Watch for a pattern sometime soon and let me know what you think!
God Bless!

Crochet Jar

Hi Everyone!

I had a jar I kept at my desk to hold small items, but I didn't really like the look.  I thought I could add a little color to the jar by crocheting over it. What do you think?

Let me know what you think!
